4-Week Strategy Framework
Week 1Foundation Building
Objective
Establish your rhythm and protect capital while targeting 1-2% gain. Focus on consistent execution rather than big wins. Remember, you have unlimited time - this is your biggest advantage with Maven.
Position Sizing
Risk maximum 0.5% per trade to stay well within the 3% daily loss limit. With 5% total drawdown allowance, you can afford 10 losing trades if disciplined. Keep position sizes small until you prove consistency.
Mindset
Treat this week as paid practice. The unlimited time limit means patience is your weapon - use it. Every trade should reinforce good habits. If you're profitable by Friday, you're winning.
If Ahead
If you hit 2%+ by week's end, reduce risk to 0.25% per trade. Bank the gains and shift to pure capital preservation mode. You're ahead of schedule.
If Behind
If negative, stop trading for 2 days minimum. Review every trade, identify the leak. With unlimited time, a slow start means nothing. Reset and return with 0.25% risk per trade.
Week 2Momentum Building
Objective
Target 3-4% cumulative gain while maintaining the 20% consistency score Maven requires. Start building the track record that proves you can manage risk consistently over time.
Position Sizing
If week 1 was clean, increase to 0.75% risk per trade maximum. Never exceed 1.5% daily risk exposure across all positions. The 3% daily loss limit should feel distant, not threatening.
Mindset
Consistency beats heroics every time. Maven's 20% consistency rule means your worst day can't be more than 20% of your best day's gain. Plan every trade with this in mind.
If Ahead
At 4%+ total, you're halfway home. Drop back to 0.5% per trade and focus purely on consistency metrics. Your job now is to not mess up what's working.
If Behind
Under 1% total? Take a 3-day break. Analyze what's not working. When you return, stick to 0.5% risk and focus on base hits, not home runs. Time is still on your side.
Week 3Consistency Focus
Objective
Push toward 6-7% total while demonstrating the consistency Maven demands. Every trade should reinforce that you're a disciplined risk manager, not a gambler.
Position Sizing
Maintain 0.75% maximum risk per trade if progressing well. If you've had any day approaching 2% loss, drop back to 0.5%. The 5% total loss limit is your career limit - treat it as toxic.
Mindset
You're building a business case for why Maven should fund you long-term. Every trade is evidence. Show them controlled, methodical growth. The 20% consistency score is watching your every move.
If Ahead
At 6%+ you're in the golden zone. Reduce risk to 0.5% per trade maximum. Your mission shifts from growth to preservation. Don't let overconfidence kill a winning challenge.
If Behind
Under 3%? You need controlled aggression. Increase to 1% risk per trade but with iron discipline on entries. No revenge trading. Maven's unlimited timeframe means you can still win this slowly.
Week 4Challenge Completion
Objective
Secure the 8% target while ensuring your consistency score stays above 20%. Cross the finish line with margin for error, not by the skin of your teeth.
Position Sizing
If close to target, risk only 0.25-0.5% per trade. If you need significant gains, maximum 1% risk but with your absolute best setups only. Never risk more than 2% in a single day this close to success.
Mindset
The finish line changes traders - usually for the worse. Stay mechanical. Maven funded you based on discipline, not desperation. If you need one more week, take it. Unlimited time is your ace card.
If Ahead
At 8%+ you're done. Stop trading or trade micro positions just to stay active. Protect what you've built. The consistency rule means you can't afford a big red day now.
If Behind
Under 6%? Stay calm. You have unlimited time - use it. Take higher quality trades with 1% risk maximum. If you blow a day, you blow the challenge. Better to take two more weeks than two big losses.
