4-Week Strategy Framework
Week 1Foundation Week
Objective
Establish consistent execution and risk management while targeting 2-3% profit. Focus on meeting the 5 minimum trading days requirement with quality setups only.
Position Sizing
Never risk more than 1% per trade to stay well within the 5% daily loss limit. Use 0.5-0.75% risk per trade initially to build confidence and protect against the 10% total drawdown.
Mindset
You have unlimited time - there's zero rush. Treat this week as paid practice. Your only job is to prove you can follow rules and execute your edge consistently. The 8% Phase 1 target will come naturally with patience.
If Ahead
If you're up 3%+ already, reduce risk to 0.25-0.5% per trade and focus on preservation. You're ahead of schedule - don't give it back with overconfidence.
If Behind
If you're down or flat, stay the course. One week means nothing with unlimited time. Review your executions, not your P&L. Stick to your 1% max risk rule religiously.
Week 2Momentum Building
Objective
Target another 2-3% profit while maintaining strict risk discipline. You should be around 4-6% total progress by week end, putting you on track for the 8% Phase 1 target.
Position Sizing
Maintain 1% maximum risk per trade. If you're above 4% profit, consider reducing to 0.75% risk to protect gains. Never increase position sizes just because you're winning - that's how traders blow challenges.
Mindset
Consistency over heroics. You're building a track record that prop firms want to fund. Every rule you follow perfectly is practice for managing real capital. Stay mechanical and emotionless.
If Ahead
If you're above 6% already, shift into capital preservation mode. Risk only 0.5% per trade and take fewer, higher-probability setups. You're close to Phase 1 completion.
If Behind
If below 3% total, resist the urge to increase risk. Your edge works over time, not over individual trades. Stick to 1% risk maximum and focus on process refinement.
Week 3Target Approach
Objective
Close in on the 8% Phase 1 target while protecting against drawdown. Aim to finish between 6-8% profit, setting up an easy completion in week 4.
Position Sizing
If you're near 6-7%, reduce risk to 0.5-0.75% per trade. You're playing with house money now - protect it. The 5% daily loss limit becomes more dangerous as your account grows.
Mindset
You can smell the finish line, but this is where most traders get reckless. The market doesn't care that you need 2% more. Stay patient, stay disciplined. Bad trades hurt more when you're close to targets.
If Ahead
If you hit 8%+ this week, congratulations - you can trade more defensively or even take a break before Phase 2. Never risk more than 0.25% per trade when you've already won.
If Behind
If you're still below 5%, don't panic. You have unlimited time and week 4 ahead. Stick to your maximum 1% risk. Desperate trading kills more challenges than bad markets.
Week 4Challenge Completion
Objective
Secure the 8% Phase 1 target and transition to Phase 2 preparation. If target is hit early, focus on maintaining profits and preparing mentally for the 5% Phase 2 challenge.
Position Sizing
Once you hit 8%, immediately reduce to 0.25% risk per trade or stop trading altogether. If still approaching target, maintain 0.5-1% risk but never exceed 1% regardless of pressure.
Mindset
Victory is in sight - don't snatch defeat from the jaws of success. Thousands of traders fail in the final stretch by abandoning what got them there. Trust your process completely.
If Ahead
If you complete Phase 1, take a day off to reset mentally. Phase 2's 5% target with your proven 1% risk approach should take 5-10 good trades. You've already proven you can do this.
If Behind
If you still need 2-3% more, stick to quality setups only. Better to take another week than fail by forcing trades. Remember - you have unlimited time and you've already proven your consistency.
